Re Syncro Tour 2007

Rick,
I'd like to come along, have ordered the maps, will have to spruce up
the Syncro. I'd be towing a camper trailer with wife, two kids and
kitchen sink etc, so would you plan on easy running between the
interesting bits, with campgrounds/showers nearbye to park the camper?

I'm all excited!

Welcome, glad to hear your excited.
One important thing came to mind from reading you message which
I should have mentioned is, the basis of this trip is having a
SYNCRO.
All Syncro owners are welcome, so come alone, bring the family or
whoever you wish.

I personally will be bringing my son who is 8 at this stage, my wife
and other children (girls x 3 are yet to decide as usual) as I have
warned my lot that heaps of VW Syncro talk will be going on.

To answer your question YES, the plan is an easy running trip. I
will have a planned route as a guide only and we will go at a
comfortable pace governed by the speed of the slowest, as enjoyment
for all is paramount so it won't be a race to the end if we don't
finish we can finish it on another tour.

I really hope this is only the beginning of many trips so we can use
our vehicles what they were built for. So once again welcome and
looking forward to the TOUR 2007.

The website is a Syncro website so I doubt if anyone other than Syncro owners would be members.

Hi Les,
I have pointed out that this is a VW Syncro tour
for the reason as a way to cover some of those verbal discussions
that go on outside this site with people with 2WD vans and campers.

Being a member of another VW club, there are few 2WD owners have
shown interest in this tour. Hence my previous message comments the
basis of the tour is SYNCROs.
