Nice photo.
Whose and/or what Syncro is the photo of?
The protection between the front bumper area and front diff. is not like any other I have seen
and I have certainly had my nose under many a Syncro, not to mention having owned 2!
Can you please enlighten me?

It's probably a factory prototype. I got it from Christoph's web site as he has given you the link.

my Caravelle GL syncro is from February 1985 one of the first.

I have a protection which is similar to the one on the photo of the
prototype. In Germany all syncros without a spare wheel holder on
this place had this protection.
