RV Deluxe rear tailgate shelter

Thanks for the suggestion re the shelter, Graham. Here's how it could look attached to your T3:

Are they easy to put up, BTW? And not too heavy or bulky to store? Might be worth considering this as we're in need of an 'extension' as our kids are growing and the available space inside is shrinking....

   Hi Francesca

Here is a pic taken off the box the Dune tent came in,mine is the same but grey in colour.
From memory,6 months ago,
stick 2 suckers on roof,
thread rods through top/corner pockets of tent and into suckers ,
spring the tent up and hold bottom of tent corners down with the base of the rods,
hook ocky straps to wheel arches
peg down. DONE  2xpeople  4.5 mins
I found that after zipping ( 2 x zips per corner) the end wall closed I could use the poles in place of the roof suckers and drive off leaving a lightweight canvas over the opening. Means that you can keep your campsite position!
Size is a good 2.8 x 2.8 m, rolls into 150x150x600mm

Happy camping,Graham

Thanks, Graham. Good to have the picture. That's more like a real annexe. Handy that you can detach and leave the tent standing as a placeholder. Big enough to be quite useful with those dimensions. Sounds easy enough to erect and reasonably compact to store. Ours originally had a side annexe, which was sold by the previous owners as it was heavy and bulky and probably not quick or easy to erect, but this seems more user-friendly.

Cheers,

Francesca.
