Had a look at the Tristar DoKa, no special restraints either, just 2 three point reels and the middle sash belt.

Panel vans don't have seat belt holes, so def no child restraints. But if the dokas have rear belts I would like to hear the argument why they shouldn't have restraints. I was an apprentice at the time but if memory serves me correctly they became law some time in '92. So if they were selling dokas this late they should have them. Greg

Window vans have them as well as rear seat belt mounts. Do panels? Do Telstra vans have rear seat belt mounts and child restraint mounts? All privately bought syncro vans would have factory fitted child restraint mountings above the engine. I don't know of any that were in the roof except '76-'80 Golfs.

1990 Golfs had a crab bar fitted in Australia, possibly due to the low volume sales in Australia.

Seat belts were compulsory in all states from 1969, it's just the wearing of them was state laws.

Your guess is as good as mine.

I only found this out a few months ago.

Hi all,

Anyone interested in coming to another soggy VW kombi event?

We are definitely going as our eldest daughter Allanah is in an IRON
Woman event @ Foster - so I wont be around on Saturday much until the
late afternoon.

All those brave enough with well water sealed vehicles - see you there!

Cheers,

Skot
Hi Skot,  will come to Old Bar, but will make it the Sunday only and will take the Tristar as we might need 3 knobs to get out of the soggy mess....Hart

Hey... at least your heading up Hart.

At this stage Saturday is the only day it is supposed to rain but VW events have been known to break droughts in the past.

We have bought a new Outwell awning driveaway tent with a zip in raised floor which should cope better with being in a river (like we were last year).

See what transpires!

Cheers,

Skot
