Hi there,

any chance you guys with the iphones/blackberries/whatever could get
rid of these annoying reminders? Somehow.... it sucks :)

Thanks,

Martin

Martin,

IMO, it is not much different from having your URL and email address
as you have below your signature line. I have found that either users
don't know how to change that advertising line placed by the device
maker or they wear it like so much jewelry. For some, it is a way to
tell whoever they are communicating with that they are sending the
message from a device which might have limited capacity or as you say,
"whatever".

Companies such as Research In Motion who manufacture the BlackBerry
make it very difficult for the uninitiated to change the signature
line. I use a BBB (BlackBerry Bold). It is much easier on the iPhone
because all one has to do is overtype the "Sent from my iPhone" line
as I have done below.

Yes, I use one of those too.

Cheers,

We get strings of advertising included with our messages, which is the price we pay for our free web group hosting.  This is fair.

What is not fair is paying for a service and then having to carry free advertising for the manufacturer who already has our money in his pocket.

Which is the reason my tagline has a generic message. I changed to line to indicate I am on my phone vs. a computer or laptop. At the same time, the commercial message has been removed.
