Silly question and van covers

Hey all,

First - any suggestions on a good car cover for the syncro? She
spends a lot of time sitting on the drive way so be good to give her a
bit of protection.

Second, this water junction http://samarnold.org/cars/syncro/HPipe.JPG
is not meant to be in held in with wire is it? I paid to have this
one done and I have a feeling they did the dodgy...

that piece is held in place by a wire clip.
