Smokin.....

Hi Folks

Judging from the amount of smoke that poured from the dash vents when I turned the fan on to try to clear a foggy windscreen, I reckon it might need replacing…..

Well @ least the motor.

Anyone have any clues where I might find one?

Thanks

Jim

My 2wd T3 also has a dead fan blower.

Its a pain in the ass.

I think my one failed because of the resistors.

They can be replaced too and I would recommend this be done as well as its such a cow of a job to replace the fan and the resistors are in basically the same duct.

Bummer....

Skot it looks that the rear blower fans in the rear roof section of the fact. air con are identical motors. If that is the case i keep one for you.

Sounds good Hart but I have put my name on one that I know is working well when my local mate gets around to pulling his van apart which shouldn't be long as the rego has nearly run out.

I plan to get his blower motor and the resistors to ensure it all works.

Cheers,

Skot

Well guys, I’m touched by the kind offers to go to purgatory on repeat occasions.

If you’d like to park them up @ my place we can negotiate which decade you might like them returned, probably with the fan still unfixed as I suspect mine might remain now that I understand what replacement entails………

I think my head might have been still full of smoke when I was thinking I might pick up a second hand motor to stuff into it……..

Cheers

Jim
