Speedo on way out?

Hi All,

I remember some posts a while back regarding a fix to the speedo - i'm wondering if my speedo would be also be able to be repaired or if it's going to need replacing?

See a video of it here: http://cds.org.au/tmp/speedo.mp4

The video shows the noise it makes, and the needle waving around the actual speed. It's done this a few times previously, but then spontaneously fixed itself. It's always been a bit noisy. Unfortunately this time it hasn't come good for a while now.

Appreciate the advice guys.

Also of course any Sydney meetup I would be interested if I can make it. I'm based out near Penrith now.

Thanks, Sam
are you lubing the speedo drive cable ?
that's what I do at any opportunity ..
or if the needle jumps or there is noise.

as far as I'm concerned, the speedo cable should be lubed with a good spray penetrating oil as often as twice a year.
at least once a year.
there are dozens and dozens of spots on Syncro's that people don't lube ..that would just love some.
