Sunday drive, June 8th, Vic.

Hi Syncronauts,

Had a call from Andrew last night suggesting a drive this Sunday 8th
June, yes it's short notice , but we thought we'd put a invitation out
to any one who is interested.

No specific details as yet, an early start Sunday morning heading out
north/ north easterly from Melbourne, some off road driving ( possibly
Toolangi), picnic lunch then home in time for supper.

regards,

Steve.
Steve,

Great idea, only wish that I could join you.  I am still off the road, now waiting on a needle bearing to arrive from UK.

I have take the opportunity to have the fuel tank dropped to investigate the fuel filling problem and I will post information on that later.

Arrived home safely last night.Certainly would have liked some of the extreme rain I drove through in Qld and NSW down here to replenish our reserves. Thank you everyone who provided support, equipment, accomodation and goodwill. It was the group acting at its best. Unfortunately came home to find my wife's hospital day procedure is turning into a longer stay therefore joining you Sunday probably out but can you keep me in the loop as I am an eternal optimist.
Below are 3 initial teaser pictures of our trip and why owning a T3 makes me optimistic. (Rudi's van at Chilli Beach, Andrew & Melissa's van  going over Gunshot on the telegraph track and Neil's "honorary Syncro" T2  ) There's much more to come!
Thanks everyone
Roger

Neil's T2 "doing a Syncro" brings back a lot of memories.  I had a T2 for a long time and got into many places that were thought to be 4WD only.  It was just a matter of having the engine over the driving wheels and taking it slowly.

Wahey welcome back Roger. Count me in for the “slide night”. We armchair enthusiasts would love to see the pics.

I hope your wife’s hospital stay is over quickly.

Best

Gary

Hey Steve,

I spoke to Andrew last night also, sounds like a great idea. As my Syncro is off the road at the mo with a sick gearbox (-_-) I hope to be coming along as his passenger. Should be a nice little trip up the bush into the high country. Hopefully a few more can make it along at this short notice including Roger(also best wishes for your wifes recovery),twood be great to hear your stories from the Cape.

Cheers all, Andy
