surf rack/roof rack for syncro with poptop - any ideas?

Hi,

anyone any experience or idea what type of roof rack would fit on a syncro, with a poptop? I had a look around online, but can not find anything good. I wold love to find a solution that does not involve having to remove the rack every time I open the poptop. I was also looking for a side rack for the surf board but I can not find anything except for bikes.

Any help is much appreciated!

I used one off a xb Falcon wagon on my type 2, basicly chrome rectangle of 30mm tube with 4 cast 50mm high mounting brackets.
The fitted height must allow the ocy straps to pass under for fitting.

These are easily through bolted to the poptop with silicon to seal the holes with a nylock nut and panel washer.

Still on it 20yrs on with no glass cracking or leaks.
No problem with the weight as i also had a surf ski on it at times and it still stayed up when poped up.

There may be other similar types on other newer model cars, they do look quite smart, dont look out of place with no wind noise.
