Syncro on Ebay

Thanks Gary,

This is an ex-Telecom van, therefore no diff locks.  At that price, it would be worth buying for spares.  If it goes passably well, it would be a reasonable buy.  I am still worried that a Syncro owner can't spell the name of his vehicle.  Has anyone met the seller anywhere?

If an advertiser spells Syncro with an 'H', it is fairly sure that he knows nothing about Syncros.  The message is beware.

Ken is the one who usually finds Syncros for sale and notifies the group.  Ken, are you there?

search for either synchro with the H or transporter.

Just ask whether it has cloth seats.
If we are talking about the Doncaster Syncro, this confirms that the owner knows nothing about it, well beyond not being able to spell it properly.

But this might be a good thing, otherwise he would be asking a lot more for it.

Gday Les,

Sorry I've been busy elsewhere of late so my regular "Synchro" For Sale
checking has suffered.

Interesting the Doncaster van claims to be a 1992 manufacture, so one of
the last if true.

I thought most if not all Telecom syncros had power steering (handy) but
no diflock. The photo is poor but I see no evidence of a diflock control
panel below the radio.

I would imagine the VC would be pretty cactus, often the reason for
syncros coming up for sale.

I see advancing seam rust in a few places .... good luck.

Viewing log books and receipts would be handy, especially concerning the
gear box.

Cheers.

Ken
