Syncro Profiles

I have just uploaded the first of what I hope will be many Syncro
Profiles, starting with Hartmut Keihn's TriStar.

Les
Hi Les,

I really enjoyed this profile. Thanks for putting it together.

Some of the extra information coming to light from knowledgeable folk
such as Mr Lander should certainly be updated into the profile. Of
interest to add to the profile as well may be a couple more
photographs for the record as well, particularly also the interior as
there are unlikely to be many with that interior spec!

Regards,
Mark.

Roger, Mark, all,

As more information comes in, the profile concept keeps expanding.

Hitherto, I have picked up no more than random scraps of information about various vehicles, never enough to start putting it together into any cohesive form.  These bits and pieces are scattered over the posts since I started this list.  Prior to the list, I was sending out newsletters, so it spans about four years.  Now, in just one day, I have received a heap of most valuable historic information, probably more than those four years combined.

If this keeps up, it will be well worth my time to assemble (off line) a folder on each vehicle, in which every scrap of information and every available picture is kept.  From these folders, I will extract what is needed to compile a profile on each.  I didn't intend the profiles to be exhaustive, and possibly boring to many, but to contain the essential facts and background.

Such background will certainly contain information about the current owner.  If it also contains whatever is known about past owners, then it becomes a reliable history.  The worth of this has already been proven resoundingly.  Phill Lander was able to give Hartmut details of his TriStar's origin, details of which Hartmut was totally unaware.

Making the Profile concept a reality will put us in the lead of the Syncro community around the world because I doubt if any other country has attempted this.  (And, speaking of countries, I would include New Zealing in this project.)

So please take a bit of time to send in the details of your Syncro, plus whatever known history you have.  And, don't forget that the VIN is a core piece of information.

Phill,

Many thanks for this information.  I will start on your profile later in the day and should get it uploaded tonight.

I have spent an hour this morning combing through the welter of emails that flowed in yesterday.  I have started a new folder in which I am adding pages of individual owners as the information comes to the surface.  From these pages, I will create the Syncro Profiles and upload them.

Thanks again.

Les
