Syncro T3 price

Hi Les,
Any idea of what price range the Syncro T3 should sell for.
Philippe

Philippe,

Although we don’t have a figure, there were never many sold in Australia .   Worldwide, there were only 2108 built in RH drive and these were shared between the UK , South Africa and Australia , with a handful going to NZ.

Telecom bought a small fleet of them but we don’t know how many.   They were very basic, essentially a non-window van that had glass put in the LH side only.   They were bought as service vehicles for use in difficult terrain but, for reasons known only to Telecom, they didn’t get the rear diff lock, which would have cost peanuts extra on a Government order.

Most of the Transporter and Caravelle Syncros came with a rear diff lock.   Front diff locks were an option which not too many buyers took up.

As to price, this is largely governed by the scarcity of the Syncros on the market.   It is further influenced by the model (Telecom, Transporter, Caravelle) and the condition.   A full camper in good condition brings top money and they often change hands for well over the 20,000 mark.

You will have to be prepared to watch the market closely – and I mean not less than every couple of days and preferably daily.  Whist there is a good Syncro population in and around Perth , their owners are essentially the same Australia wide – once they get a Syncro, they keep it!

Les
