Hi Jon there were 2, 16" syncros brought into Aust. Yuriks 16", and a dual cab which I have
in Melbourne. They are rarer than the Normal 16"s as they are Factory RHD and were
additionally modified by steyr
puch and VW motorsport for racing in rally conditions. Im sure alot of us syncro owners
here in Australia will be waiting
to here your experiences and info regarding your 16" with the TDI conversion. Is it still a
lefty or have you converted to RHD. Have fun in the meantime with your Caravelle Syncro.

Actually they were modified by VW Motorsport and Seikel.

They are probably the only two in the world that are RHD with a digifant (MV) engine.

Phil, Mark,

These are unique and historic vehicles.  I suggest that you put together the story behind them and put it on the website.

hi dude, my 16" is a righty, it wsa a lefty but i converted it my self, i used a single cab ute as a doner, its a job i would not reccomend to any one, i think ive done real well, (cant beat a bit of self praise!!)
in all the info i collected there are no mentions of any rhd 16" the web sites in germany and uk list all 16" modles but not a single mention of rhd"s!! does the manufacture plate state left or right hand drive? i'll see what the code is and get back to you, as far as i know mine is the only one to be converted! cheers jon
