T25- Fuel problem

My transporter has been losing power only when going downhill. I have found water in the fuel. Is it possible to take the fuel line off the tank to flush the tank out- if so would this be sufficient as i hope to avoid taking the tank out of the vehicle. If anybody has had a similar problem i would appreciate advice. The vehicle built in 1992 has done 146,000 kms. I have changed the fuel filter but have not driven the vehicle a great deal since. When i blew out the fuel in the old filter it had black stuff in it.

Thank you

I thought that if you put metho in the tank a few times it absorbed the water, not sure if this
is true, anyone?
