T3 syncro perth,nice van

Neat looking vehicle. Reminds me of my 2WD Trakka which went to another happy home nearby when I bought my Syncro. Looks like there is a battery behind the passenger seat or are they wires into one underneath the seat. I need to get a deep cycle house battery and would like to fit it there. My fit out does not have a second battery so that is on my priority list to fix along with installing a smart charger. I think Scotty did some research on batteries so I will search the posts to see what he found.

Pete,
Ask your father-in-law. He's just done all his.
Cheers.

Peter,

I found a few options but the one I settled on was a Varta 80Amp/hr deep cycle that just fits.

It is a German made battery that I got from a warehouse in Ryde Sydney on one of my adventures and I run it through a Trackside dual battery kit (very easy to install.

I needed to remove the battery cover flap to fit it but I cover the batter with a small car carpet mat of a colour that closely matches the furry carpet that lines the internal walls of my syncro.

I can dig up the details if you need them Peter and I think it cost me about $350.

Cheers,

Skot

Thanks Scot. A great help. I will see what sort of prices I can get here and then most likely will get one in Sydney and save the Regional “premium” that we always seem to pay!!!!
