Tacho Instrument Panel

Whilst we are on the subject of loose bits, I would like to get hold of a tacho instrument panel.
If anyone has one or hears of one, I would like to know.

Thanks

Les

Les et al,
the instrument panels appear regularly on ebay, usually in Germany
but sometimes in the US (or sometimes the UK to but they are well
sought after items there)
There has been one for sale recently - I'll try and hunt it out for
you later tonight.
At any rate, if or when I see one, I'll post the link.

Cheers,

Andy.
Yeah I got my tacho off ebay in the US. Think it ended up costing a
bit over $100 Aussie to get it into the country. Buying from ebay US
can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months to deliver. Always ask for
a tracking number, I have been burnt once. Usually I like to get a
bunch of bits at the same time to try and cut down on postage.

I've also bought items from volks cafe (now van cafe) and they were
really nice people to deal with. They probably have a tacho lying
around if you ask them.

Well worth it in my opinion, knowing the exact rpm really changed the
way I drive my syncro. Realised how hard the engine is going at
110km/h, and that I want bigger wheels!

:) Sam

It might interest people that when I bought my syncro the original owner included all his invoices including for the new tacho with which he replaced the original clock. The tacho was part number 251919253 $368 plus he replaced the gauges -temperature 255 919 511A $138 Fuel gauge 255919031 $84 plus the printed circuit  251 919 059K $168 plus an unnamed part and a mounting plate for the gauges about $10. This was in 1994!  Certainly seems cheaper to try to buy the whole instrument panel second hand  and you did well Sam.
The "only used for 2 years" clock and gauges came with the van if anyone needs to replace theirs.
Attached is a photo of my set up
