Tassie Tour 2013 Final admin and itinerary

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it has taken me longer than expected to type up the final itinerary- must be getting old.  This gives some structure to work from but it is all our tour so is open to variation in the light of circumstances that present to us. It should also let people wander off to satisy their particular interests and then meet up again. We will talk together on the voyage over and subsequently.
You will see we have a booking in Devonport for Monday the 18th when we arrive and whilst I think we can make most of our bookings as we go along I have marked on the itinerary when I believe we should do this in advance. Tues 19th at Cradle Mountain is such an occasion where with only 1 camping park, we could miss out if we leave it too late. If I don't hear from anyone to the contrary by Thursday  14th Feb I will book 6 unpowered sites together costing $20 each single occupancy and $35 for Grace & John's double.

Could I also suggest people bring any of the following cards they have.

Motoring organisation vehicle break down cards.eg NMRA
National Trust Membership cards
Big 4 or any other Camping Concession cards
Senior or Pension card.

plus binoculars.

If anyone has trouble printing the itinerary I can print a copy when you meet at my house next Sunday 17th. I am actually off to the Otways that weekend to watch my son compete in a cycling event  so may not be back until 5pm. I have your phone numbers to ring if any problems arise.
Could I get everyone to acknowledge they have received this email and attachments Ok either by email or an SMS to me at 0422 024 197. Thanks

Working through the details of the attractions that Tasmania offers I feel quite  excited that it will not be long before we will  all be away together enjoying  Tasmania our Syncros and  each other's company.

Cheers
Roger

PS If anyone is short of the means of cooking, I have a 4.5 Kg gas bottle with a new gas ring on top that I would be happy to donate.
Thank you Roger, all is paletti !! All done and copied. Leaving Wednesday will pick up Paul  to start the journey  South. Hartmut

hi Roger,  done another 650 ks today and docked at Port Albert, what an amazing place !!!! We came across the mountains the road barely 3.5 m wide and many hundreds of bends, met one other car for the 2hr trip. The experience almost beyond belief. Been so very lucky to be in company of Paul, very reassuring. Tomorrow we tackle the last bit towards Mel. Will be in contact with details when we are closer....Hartmut  PS regards from Paul.

Hartmut, Sounds nice. Which route? Did you take the Barry Way through from NSW to Victoria?

Jon.
