Yes Ken reading you load and clear. I agree that the kombi club would be a good option if there was a syncro specific corner of the forum. Jon has backed up all the content from yahoo. He didn't have to do 700 messages at a time? As previously discussed to get a forum with the functionality we need we will no doubt need to contribute a small amount. "Discourse" is the current proposal. The yahoo transfer system does not appear to be a sound long term solution. As always the main issue is that Mark, Jon, Scott and myself all have young families, all have our own businesses to run and have precious little spare time to devote to a syncro forum. What we need is someone to step in the breach who would have the spare time to commit to such a venture (retiree?). Failing that, in time we will get it across to a decent host so we can have solely syncro banter without the added noise of air-cooled/lowered humdrum. Greg Esposito

Hi Greg,
In your reply, you have aptly described all of the impediments that arise if a decision is made to migrate to a newly created syncro platform. Conversely, in coming to my own recommendation in favour of Kombi Club alignment, these same impediments would simply
disappear, so all your primary concerns would be found null and void.
Securing a syncro area on Kombi Club is an option to consider, in any event subject to negotiation with the Club owner. I'm of the view not insurmountable if not realised.
I'm also of the view I have no difficulty mixing it with other Kombi vans. I do expect each old and new Kombi Club member is free to choose which areas in the forum they frequent and participate. So to me and Id expect other fairminded syncro owners, also
would view this option as a positive, not negative concept.
Cheers.

Wow, I'm off line for a little while just reading the posts!! A big thanks to those working behind hte scene's to back up the valuable data there.
As Ken mentioned, a better way to search would be great.
Happy to contribute funds required to get an interim site up.
I am also on Kombiclub (as Andy , the name of our T2 bus)

Hi Ken, I think the kombi club is a great forum and if you can convince the owner to start a syncro specific area all the better. This would not however remove all the impediments that I see. Namely a place to house all the data Jon has copied and most of all a syncro specific site. Most members are already kombi club members but still look to this site for advise. Greg
