The Watagan Mountains syncro Discovery Tour 2011

Ah, but don't you just love the dynamism and creativity of language! And how clever technology is becoming. The challenge for me, personally, is to be flexible and adapt. My son who has learning difficulties can now speak his assignments into Dragon Naturally Speaking and it's almost word perfect out of the mouth of a 10 year old with an Aussie accent. Brilliant stuff (and about 20 years of intensive R&D). A little off topic here, sorry.

Not still going on about upper case v lower case and the syntactic properties of S/syncros? I'm an editor, but even I am struggling to keep up with the evolving debate. Perhaps someone should write a thesis on the topic? And I am not volunteering....

Oh well, must mean our beasts are going well if we have time to devote to such stylistic niceties!

A s/Syncro by any other name would still roll as sweet.

Don't forget American vs. English predictive text. I'm constantly battling my American spellchecker to write in this forum. And on top of all that, the prudish Mr. Jobs added censorship of certain words from my little 'i' big 'P' communication device.

Phill,
I have VOIP (MyNetFone - another kiddywinkie word!) and it has a text
function, with the great advantage of being able to use the full keyboard to
type text. The functionality is 100 times improved on the standard mobile
phone keyboard.
