transmission rebuild tool wanted

Hi everyone,


I am having my gearbox rebuilt and am looking for a special tool - wondered if by any chance anyone would have this tool or know of someone in Australia who would have it, as otherwise it needs to be sourced from the States and that will take at least two weeks?


The tool is Part Number 7-381/14 Heavy Duty Socket for Pinion Retainer

This tool costs a bit less in Germany, around 100€ + shipping.

Can try to source on second hand

I have a full transmission rebuild tool kit in the shed - jigs, dies, special spanners and a whole lot of other stuff. Cost me over $1200 about twenty five years ago. Plus a few other tools that I fabricated myself. Instructions and workshop manuals for all VW transmissions. Fits every rear-engine VW transaxle from the first beetle to the last Syncro. Doubt if I will use it again due to old-farts-disease. Will consider parting with it if anyone needs it.
