Tyre sizes and VC

Syncronauts,

Here is an interesting question for the group. As a result of past flat types and the decision to buy 4 new ones and not 5 some time ago I have ended up with six tyres all currently with good tread. All are 205/75/15. Four are Hankook Dynapro AT and two are Cooper Discoverer H/T. Both tyre types have quite similar tread patterns and look almost identical in height when mounted on a rim and inflated. They are all mounted on identical 15 inch Mercedes steel rims. Currently on my Syncro I have the 4 Hankooks. I would like to do some rotations to keep tread wear even. Should I (1) not use the Coopers, and (2) if I can use them should I have them diagonally located one at front and one at rear. I am well aware of the problems of damage to a VC with uneven tyre sizes and types.

Thanks for your thoughts.

My vote is 1 leave the Coopers as spares. Did you have a good experiance with the Coopers? Have heard some bad press lately. Greg E
