Rudi has decided to place his LHD Doka up FOR SALE.
Several years ago he arranged its export from Europe to Australia. However in changing times, it is simply now surplus to his needs.
Rudi is keen for it to go to a syncro enthusiasts home in Australia, ideally for the long term.
Because of its uniqueness in Australia, I offered to post it here first in the hope interest may come from amongst our own local membership or our local contacts.
Bottom line is … presented here is a prime opportunity for someone who has the need for or else would enjoy the uniqueness/exclusivity that comes with owning/driving a street legal Australian registered LHD Doka.
Together with the attached pics, a brief description is as follows:
The Doka is an un-registered 3 door Sept. 1988 LHD syncro with rear difflock and has travelled just 165,000 klms.
Rudi is only the 2nd owner, he chose to purchase it at the time due to it being in an original, unmodified condition.
The Doka has passed his meticulous attention and is mechanically sound.
Included is the rear canvas canopy & frame, the protective timber floor and side/tailgate inner facings.
As well are a set of wheel axle VW end caps and the LHS panel PUCH badge!
As this vehicle is a pre 1989 model, Rudi states it can be legally registered in Australia as is. He can further advise the purchaser on this matter.
Price is subject to negotiation with Rudi. If required, the Doka can be inspected by arrangement on Bribie Island, Queensland. If preferred and subject to an agreed final price, Rudi has the expertise/components to convert it to a street legal RHD syncro.
Ideally this Doka remains LHD and so eligible to join Hartmuts “Oz Syncro Exclusivity Club” for local unique variants.
For those in Oz, Rudi is just a phone call away on 07 3408 6669 and a cut price airline ticket to view the beast.
In my view, Rudi comes as a highly recommended T3 syncro expert bar none in Australia and without reservation, I believe that anyone interested can purchase this Oz unique Doka from him with confidence.
Cheers.
