I drove doen from Darwin and my starter motor died. Does anybody has a motor by any chance???
I need it asap. It's a subaru conversion, but still the original 2.1 WBX bellhousing.
Thanks guys.
Hoping for answers.
Recondition units welcome
Cheers

Hi Seb,
I have one s/h which is a left over after my conversion to Subaru EJ25 – I am using the Subi starter on dedicated bell housing.
Not sure what it’s worth but contact me on 0894467628 (or email me directly) - I can post it to you promptly.

G'day SebI was talking to John Sherman at www.volksconversions.com.au a few weeks ago. He sells upgraded starters for the Syncro. Owns one himself, and specialises in Subaru conversion hardware. He's the man to talk to.He also sells a hi-torque starter motor for about $400 that does not require a starter-bushing. My bushing is flogged out, meaning that the starter pinion does not always engage with the flywheel. If you buy one, let me know how it works - I was wondering if there were any clearance issues with the Syncro fuel tank.Roger [Beetle] Bayley.
