Vehicle Inspection Nowra area???

Hey Guys,
Is anyone in the Nowra NSW area as i am thinking of bying a syncro that is privatly advertised there. However i live in QLD and leaving the country Monday or early in the week to work in Saudi for 4wks The present owner does not know enough about syncros or maybe does and not telling. I would not blame anyone for issues that may arise if i were to go ahead and buy the vehicle however! I presently have a telstra syncro so i know what to expect etc. It sounds like the car may have some rust in the seams as it is a Tracker and i think the body flex and beach camping may have contributed to this. That is my main concern as the seams have rubber stick on trim that may hide or perhaps the trims could just be the answer to sealing the joints. So i know it is a big weekend for VW down there but maybe someone is close by who may be able to give me their opinion????
Regards Pete

It can be easily fitted.

The bed is still wide enough for 2.

Mine has. They were an $80 option.

That was standard on pre '90 models on one side.
Thanks Guys,
Have found someone to look at the car thanks to Ralph and he knows a bit about syncros. The guy who has it had a lot to say about it that made me suspect the seam rust issue. Will let the forum know how I go. The guy looking at it for me knows of the car and the issues
Thanks to you Les as well for making this kind of teamwork possible!
                                                Kind Regards Pete

I once meet a bloke in Bombadery, while I was at work, about 15 months or so a go,who serviced a white Syncro,he was the mechanic at the Mobil(i think)servo, the road,on the right, going South, before the river at Nowra. The bus looked average, but the mechanic told me that the owner had spent heaps on the car (repairs).I gave him my number, but never heard from anybody.Maybe this is the vehicle.
