Victoria not a rip off?

Well I finally made an appointment to get our syncro camper registered in Victoria (was on Queensland plates). First let me tell you the Queensland reg papers say it is a '94 model! Also it was registered as a two seater. The reason Queensland got the year wrong is the compliance plate was stamped on an angle so that only the bottom half of the 2 is visable and it looks like a four. So I asked the nice lady at vic roads if she would change it to '92 (as I was instructed by the vic roads booking line guy). She said no as this was 10 min booking and not a 20 min inspection/booking. Then she noticed I wrote 4 seater! She quized me on how a van could be a four seater... anyway long story short she registered it as a four seater. I think I may have just saved myself a thousand dollars in engineers fees and apparently I have the only '94 model syncro outside of South Africa. Greg E
Well done Greg.

Please send some of your roads people up here and have ours exterminated!

Cheers,

Scott

Certainly sounds like you've got the toughest system in the country. Greg.E
