Wanted 14" spare wheel WA

Hi Does anyone have a 14" rim preferably in western Australia they are willing to part with. As I am travelling in remote areas more so I need a spare, spare to get me out of trouble if need be.

Am I right in assuming with a de coupler I can run odd size wheels on my van in 2wd?
Cheers Greg

Any photos of your travels Greg?

Anything syncro related will do fine…

The decoupler will help for lock up front to back with a different sized tire, but the diff will still work overtime due to the difference in diameters. So probably best on the front with the decouple off and hopefully not drive too far!

Ok thanks Richard, Can I assume it would be fine on dirt roads and what you explained would be the case only on bitumen roads?

Hey Scott I just returned from 6 weeks away in the Pilbara, 6.5K trip not a moments bother with “Gus” my bus. over half of the trip travelled in the gravel magnificent up there this time of year. I was seeking places remote and interesting, a tree and a little running water preferably. they are still out there if you go looking.

Hi Greg, I bought a 14" syncro wheel with a reasonable spare for the same reason (to have two) from lepews-me.com naughty g. He’s in Freo so maybe if he sees this post he would contact you. He upgraded to 15" or 16" I think. I’m not sure how to contact him but he’s n here quite regularly.

Hi again Greg, actually I found Gaetan’s number and he sold all five when I bought mine. Sorry

That does sound fun Greg.

Love your camper…by the way my syncro is also called Gus as it previously had a 6cyl gas guzzler so I called him Gus!

The 2.5 is much better on fuel so the name doesn’t really suit anymore.

Hi Greg.
On Gumtree there is still advertised some VW 14" rims off a T3.
In Fremantle (under Nathan).

Thanks for the information Gerald I shall follow this up.
