What’s my ex Telstra syncro worth?

Members,
I’ve got a ex Telstra tin top Syncro with Trakka interior.
Captains chairs,
Stainless fuel and water tanks from the buy in we did.
15” steel rims from the buy in we did.
Car is not registered at this time as I was going to put it on club reg. But have been lazy. It’s not been driven in over a year, hence looking at selling it. Needs a clutch as it’s shuddering a little.
Has a new full set of hoses from van Cafe
Swivel passengers seat.

So. What’s it worth if I was sell it?

Regards
Steve
Steve,

Still good money even unregistered.

Any body damage or rust?

Maybe show some photos.

A clutch is a small issue if that is all the problems it has.

Does it have the Telstra air conditioning still?

Also where abouts are you located?

Cheers,

Skot

HI,
I wonder whether it would be worth fixing the clutch first to get top dollar? I would think you could be looking at 15-18k if it is sorted and ready to go. Would have been 10k 18 months ago!

Will take some pix. Still got Telstra AC.
Used to be Andy from leongatha’s syncro.
As it’s not being used. Tempted to sell it and put that money towards the Porsche 996 I’m buying. Selling a few toys off. Like the current Porsche Boxster I have and a few bikes.

Porsche would make a great donor engine for the syncro :-)

Just a thought....

Maybe sell the other toys and get using the syncro?

Ha ha ha,
Porsche conversion will not make the syncro worth what the Porsche is worth.

I’ve been humming and harring if I should fix it, use it or sell it.
If the right money was offered I’d sell it as it is.
If not it can sit until the other projects get completed 1st.

I’ve also got a 80k old EJ22 Subaru complete with loom from a liberty.
And the T3 shell with pop top to go with it. As you can see, it was a plan to make it something special and use it. But family time, bikes and Porsche time, means it’s been side lined.

Steve

Nah buy a 911 3.2 carrera, better than a 996. And will hold its value

Ha ha. You paying for it?
Seen what Aircooled Porsche’s go for?
Plus I prefer the watercooled 98 onwards.
I’ve driven both the 993 and 996 and 996 is refined and smooth and you don’t sit crooked in them like the early 911.

Yeah but the air cooled is such a nice mechanical noise. Sweet down hill over run with extractors. 😎😎😃

Not doubting they are not. But a good air cooled is now $100k plus.
My dirty old Boxster is 1/10 that and many air cooled guys think it sounds great. It’s like the Ducati 2v versus 4v noise debate.
My old Supersport sounds incredible. But the new superbike sounds angry. Makes the hair on your neck stand up

Hi Steve
I'd be interested in one of those water tanks if you are want to sell
Cheers
Mark
Won’t part with anything.
If I keep it, I’ll need them.
But if I sell the syncro, and new owner does not want them. Then that’s different
