Michael,
You MUST plug the dip stick hole before you drive the vehicle. Until you have seen how much oil gets pumped out of the dipstick hole, you won’t believe it.
The dip stick is common to all MV engines, so one out of any T3 will do it. When you get to Melbourne , try ringing Volkwerke in Greensborough to see if they have one lying around. If they haven’t, they might know a wrecker who is likely to have one.
But DON’T drive it without firmly plugging the hole.
Les

Who's a Dipstick
I lost my oil dipstick today (forgot to put it back in) after checking my oil level. Is it OK to still drive with it missing. I need to travel 523 klms on the Hwy to Melbourne . Has any one got a spare one in melbourne that I could buy.?
Regards
Michael
