Winch mount set up

Hi, I have finally started the install of my winch. Decided to mount it to the front sub frame where the spare wheel would normally go. That allowed me to mount the relays just behind the gear shift and kept the wires short and out of the weather. Also replacing all the suspension rubbers and installing new fox shocker and springs at the same time. Will see how it all turns out. Will post some pic is you are all interested.
Cheers,
Michael R
That looks like an excellent spot for the wench.

More pics please - including the front guide.

Thanks,

Skot

I wondered if anyone would pick that up. Just a little sly one I threw in there.

Here are a few pic of the winch install.  Turning out well, but the proof will be when I test it in anger.

Hi Michael,
Looking good.
Just curious.
Are there two syncros in Oz with a red & white skin? If so, I'd presumed there was only one. If not, is this yours?
Cheers.

Ken,
That's one in the same Syncro. I took the bull bar off a few years back to lighten the weight over the front end for a desert trip across the Anne Berdell HWY. Also removed the draws and fitted LPG and lockers. Replaced the mirros as the stock ones just can't stand up to corrigations, but crushed a door so it has odd doors on it now.  Not in as good condition as in that photo but mechanicly fully rebuilt with a few extras and running well.

Cheers,

Michael,
Well there you go!
I remember it coming up for sale back in 2006 when I was searching online for a syncro poptop camper.
It was one not easy to forget! Nice to see it's in good hands. Well done.
Cheers.
