I see there is a fitting on the cable for this on RHD, but not for LHD, so they are intended to seal differently
Might be time to see if a cover can be 3D printed!

The puzzle solution is right there in your post, best clue I can give is … it’s not the GEMO RHD cable we all buy, it’s what’s missing from the cable we all buy!

Now you’re making it difficult! I’m not sure what other parts would need regular replacement. The pivot pin for the intermediate lever seems to last OK, so I’m going to have to guess the pin the cable attaches to from the start of this thread. But that should not be a common wear part.
