I need to know who is coming to the Victorian DOTVW at Yarra Glen on Sunday 25 November so that display arrangements can be finalized.  Please let me know asap.

If anyone has registered for the display but has not received the map, please let me know and I will send one direct.

Hi Les,
To give you a definite answer I'm sorry  to say I won't be at the DOTVW this year  BUT I have posted a request on the Bicycle Victoria (BV)  Gt Vic Bike Ride site seeking a ride back to Melbourne Sat night and return to the ride Sunday night. This was BV's suggestion as they have no formal arrangement with cars coming and going. Unfortunately it is also the day my family will also be celebrating my youngest son's 30th birthday  which he postponed due to exams. (Yes I will be there for his actual birthday!) Therefore when the choice was between showing their love for their dad  or celebrating with their brother  can I say that I know what Mit Romney felt like this week. Brian's circumstances similarly rule him out.
If something comes through I will be there with the new T5 and will just have to take my chances whether I can get close to your display  or stay in the car park. Either way have a great day together.

One Week to Go!

We have only six confirmed Syncros coming so far: Francesca Coles, Greg Esposito, Thomas Mischler, Tony Marshall, Theo Weiss and Jon Bartlett.

This about half what we usually get.  The hiatus caused the extensive ground works undertaken by the race club has not helped but this is a poor attendance nonetheless.  Getting what is probably the best display area was hard-won and can be very easily lost if just a handful of Syncros turn up!!  If you have been in two minds about going, please try to turn up; it will add to our claim for the continued use of the allocated display area.

The gates open for entry at 0900.  As previously notified, we will be using the special gate immediately off Armstrong Grove.

Hi Les,
Glad to see that Eddie is leading the Cavalry so your efforts won't go unsupported particularly with the stalwards that have already put their hands up.
 
If you accept T5's and don't mind me not staying until the very end  I'll come back from the bike ride Sat night and get back down to Briagolong for the Monday start before they realise I've gone AWOL. So providing I  can do the extra kms on Sat to get me to Bairnsdale Station and a train back to Melbourne, I'll see you on Sunday. I've left it too late to preregister but this shouldn't stop me getting in to where we were last year through the gate that last year opened to let us out. Look forward to seeing you all but no laughing if I'm walking a bit strange after the hours in the saddle from Lakes Entrance. I'll bring the previous years laminated photos that you prepared. I also have my name car etc.
 If anyone has last minute mechanical problems, I haven't put my syncro on the market yet and I would consider lending it to a reasonable driver who can pick ip up and return it to Nth Carlton. I've rung Phil and he's organised his lift.

That's what puts me off selling the T3 - the owners know they are a class apart and won't mingle with misguided try hard owners of new renditions. Perhaps I need to contact Philip again and suggest he forgoes his lift and brings my T3 out to enhance the numbers.
How would it suit  you Phil ? Pick up and return to Nth Carlton.
