 Hello Syncro Owners,

I have just returned from a trip to WA and saw two syncros on the road one a white transporter window van heading to Bunbury from Perth and the other one was a white camper in Bussleton heading south on the bussell high way? Just trying to put syncos with people if possible?

 Hello,

Can anyone help with coolant overflow tanks and getting them clean inside and outside/looking white again without buying new ones?

Thanks,

Leighton

Leighton,

You will never get it back to snow white!  All you can do is wash it with very strong detergent (Spray and Wipe works well) and then use bleach to get into the stains.  It won’t be snow white but it will look a whole lot better!

 Hello,

Can anyone help with what product I can use for a cooling system flush or procedure I should follow. I have read the workshop manuals and understand what I need to do. I just want to flush any bad stuff out..

Thanks Leighton
.

I would fill it with tap water, bleed it and drive it for a day. Do this at least twice or untill it comes out clean. Then fill with g11 or g12. Greg E

I'd just put the garden hose through the radiator, drain it completly, then fill it with distilled water and G11 or G12++. Most of the rubbish will be in the radiator.

The types of metal in modern engines require special coolants. There is no one size fits all so Nulon is rubbish. Same with oil filters, do not buy them from Repco, Supercheap etc.

If you have a Holden, you buy parts from a Holden dealer. If you have a VW, you buy VW parts.

Leighton,

Mechanics with extensive experience with the MV engine all use G12++.  I suggest that you do the same.

What you are protecting the engine against is not freezing but corrosion and the 12++ is known to be very adequate.
