Their costs include 17.5% VAT which you should be able to avoid. This may all be too hard but I thought I'd throw it in while we are talking pop tops!

Hi Scott,
You might want to look at this http://www.vwwaterc ooled.org. au/f26/front- bunk-sling- kombi-beach- t5-33134. html . Made for a T4/5, but could probably be adapted for a T3.

I agree Michael.
You really need to want the pop top to do it but it provides many benefits for the dollars required. You also need to plan to keep the vehicle for some time to benefit from the work.
Very nice to be able to easily stand in the vehicle to get changed and my daughter absolutely loves the roof bed. Now we have rid ourselves of those nasty boxy fluoro lights and have a very slim line LED strip light - there will be no head banging.
I spoke to Brett about a cab bunk that secures over the head rests and clips onto the grab handles for Child # 2.
When finances permit I will be getting one of those.
Anyway it is comforting to know you at least have this as an option and I would suggest you wont really get any other new pop top installed for any less. It also solved my damaged headliner and scratched / dented roof problems - plus gave Hartmut an O/H air con installation project.
Cheers,
Scott

Thanks Brian,They seem excellent for a T4/ T5, but the T3 sills are fairly narrow and rounded making this system impractical.I spoke to Nik "Vannin" on the kombi club about this and his system was also well suited to the T4.Brett's system sounds very suitable to my van and he has made them previously just not for about 15 years. There is no hurry the next trip camping isn't until Old Bar in October.Cheers,Scott----- Original Message -----From: Brian ReedSent: Thursday, May 20, 2010 5:07 PMSubject: [Syncro_T3_Australia] RE:Kids sling bed.

Geez your breeding a bunch of wimps.
You should be throwing them in the drink next to The Haven boatramp at around 6am every morning when the fishoes are back cleaning their tiddlers and the stingrays are cruising round for the spoils haha. Heh dad, now that'd toughen em real quick and a nature lesson to boot.
