Sydney Nationals 2010

Peter,

Well done. That hideous thing on the front looked like someone from the Lada Niva Factory in Russia would have constructed. If you melted that thing down you would have enough material for another 5 bullbars.

Good to know we can all still get many parts these days even though the original aftermarket manufacturers have long gone.

You will probably need to pull the Hilux out on regular occasions as it will struggle with the deep soft sand and massive bog holes/ craters in that "road".

Enjoy,

Skot

Hi Scott. A report to the group on progress with sinking more cash into my new toy. I have ordered a decoupler this morning.

Found a new bulbar in Sydney. The Company that used to make them for Camperise and Suncamper (don’t know why mine has the sheep gate!!!) had two. One painted white and the other not. I am picking up the unpainted one on 25 June so all the Syncronauts will be happy with that, as will I. It is the same as many around that I have seen as it retains the plastic side bumper ends. I think it the same as Harts.

Could be a doing a little exploratory drive to Point Plomer with a mate on Saturday to see how she performs. He only has a Hilux!!!!

Cheers, Peter

Hi Peter,

Inspired by you, we got rid or our clunker of a bull bar too. We're looking to replace it, though. What price did they have on the other bull bar at the place you got yours?

Thanks,

Francesca.

Ben,

In the words of Arnold Swartz ...."I'll be back"

We are staying in Crescent Head Caravan Park this year - so at least we don't have to drive 20 minutes each way to get some milk and ice in the morning.

We are staying the week leading up to New Year - depart on the 1st Jan.

Cheers,

The monsoon that hit us last year was a bit of a put off. Fun driving in the mud but then you have to sleep in the syncro and rub mud all over yourself getting in and out. The kids were a complete mess.

Scott and Point Plomers all,

Haha .. heh I really like all you guys optimism!!

Yep, sounds like a plan. Albeit Claytons plan v2?

I seem to recall with disquiet last years Point Plomer plan. Something about "should the stars miraculously line up" plan. Turned out to be the "like ships passing in the night during the big wet" plan. I understand both version plans proved extremely successful.

Could you guys please brainstorm and flesh out Point Plomer 2010 Meet Plan such as even basics like meet day, time, place and activities/tagalong route and also if any ... free bush/beach camping sites in the shire suitable for syncros?

This might go quite some way to help others make up their mind to join you Plomersyncs.

Cheers.

With due respect Ken, who is/was CLAYTON ??  After all, your Minister for Citizenship the Hon. Chris Evans has offered me the opportunity to become an Australian , dare  I  say an Aussi  later this year.

That’s why  I  got to know who Clayton was  I  also ask you to give me a clue where I  could find your type of Aussi speak......much appreciated       Harty

Claytons!!! A deep understanding of the Aussie lingo is needed for this one. I will explain to Hart with examples. e.g. I have a Claytons bull bar!!

Peter

Hart,

The book that you are required to study is Let Stalk Strine
by Afferbeck Lauder. This is compulsory reading for all new citizens.
