Is this the guy?The problem is most manufactures are now using a can bus system. This combined with the fact that traditional diesel injection pumps cannot be mounted on the engine makes a conversion very hard. That is tricking the engine control unit into thinking there are many other control units hooked into the can bus when they are not. Greg E

I have not heard yet that anyone has a Subaru boxer four diesel engine running in a T3 Van..Not anywhere, not even in Europe....and not in the US yet.Just this one guy who has some engines for sale for $ 13,000 US ( ! ) ...and he's 'working on getting one going in a T3 van' ..last I heard.if anyone knows more than that ..let's hear it !----- Original Message -----From: BenSent: Wednesday, April 27, 2011 8:26 PMSubject: [Syncro_T3_Australia] Re: syncro driveshaftRe Subaru diesel.Yes they will be very popular.Only one or two running around in the States.I believe,BenT or Turbovans could confirm.
In the states the pick was(when I was researching) still the earlier ej22 as it is in abundance over there, plus they are all tight, trying to do there conversions on the cheap.Others seem to go down the H6 path which would be nice, but I definatley would loose my licence then.
The ej25 out of an Aussie outback is a good one for us Aussies,as there are heaps available and the wiring isnt as complicated as post 2001 models, although there is still an immobilizer, which is not that much of an issue.A very smooth and torquey engine.
