My T5 keeps whispering in my ear "can't I go CAN'T I GO"  so to overcome my T3 deprivation have decided to chug up to Valla .
Am emailing my registration with fees tomorrow -hope I'm not too late. Mrs Bell says I have to finish painting the house outside doors and window frames otherwise I might have trouble starting the T5 with no ignition key!
All being well I will meet you by 10.30am at Sealys Lookout"  on Friday 1st Aug.  Will return home late Sunday or early Monday. Might be leaving the T5 behind at the Lookout as its ground clearance isn't very good so may be looking for a seat on the Rover Track.  Are people spread around various places for accommodation or is the Valla camping ground where most of you will be?

Given the above, Leighton I could obviously take those 6 Mefro rims between Sydney and Melbourne although it does  get a bit cosy and hard to open the fridge with them aboard. I would also endorse the Ego carriers suggestion. I used them probably 2 years ago and found them much cheaper than the big names particularly if you delivered to and picked up from their depot. In my experience they  charged less because they have had a hard look at non essentials and run a no frills but efficient operation. Perhaps it is time for a Roll Call of who is committed to be there.

Val and I will be there in the Syncro arriving Thursday, staying at the Albatross in Nambucca.

Looking forward to seeing you at Valla as always. Give the T5 some credit - they aren't too bad!

If that wont happen you are welcome for a scary ride in my syncro.

I am booked in for a cabin in Valla from Thursday afternoon.

I might be able to swing up there a day earlier an perch on a mates site for a night before mine becomes available. I can probably handle 1 night of freezing cold in the van.

I will be there in my syncro from at the latest Thursday evening all going well and maybe even Wednesday night if I can get enough work done in the mean time.

Still need my decoupler fitted and to put a few important parts back on my syncro like some replacement rear mud flaps, bull bar, driving lights, spare wheel (got the carrier back on), project 2 lights, CB aerial etc.

I always leave everything to the last minute.

Dear All,
Have prepared a couple of maps for the Friday Valla run to Sealys Lookout and the Rover Trail.

Hope you find it helpful.

I usually pass through this is a part of the north coast without stopping, but after studying this run I'm quite excited about the route and what we will see.

What I discovered from this exercise, is that I'll have to leave Nambucca by 09.30 hrs to be at Sealys by 10.30 hrs, at least that is what Google suggests.

Hi All,

Just about to take the plunge and install my new de-coupler from AA
Transaxle in the USA as Florian has gone MIA.

Just need to know - do I install the vacuum lines so that the 4wd is
normally off or normally on. That is do you pull the button to engage
2wd or engage 4wd.

I would think it depends on use but to ensure you don't get stuck with
it in 2wd due to a vacuum leak - keep 4wd as normal mode and 2wd as
button pulled mode?

Any suggestions?

My de-coupler is engaged when I pull the knob out and the light comes on this then provides Syncro drive.

It is the same with my rear diff lock.

I know that I have maximum grip when both green lights are on below the knobs.
