That link to the Brickyard site is very interesting. My VIN ends in KG027315. Means a date of manufacture of August 1988.
Cheers, Peter from Port.

Les,
No. This topic is just a novelty, so won't last and won't procure many.
Probably catch a more complete set of VINs automatically if part of forum membership application.

Harts syncro was shipped out here as a promotional presentation, none were shipped here for public sale due to the cost of buying one, the cost of a dual cab deluxe was about $40000-00 in 1990 when I was looking for one, the recession we had to have stopped that, a few years later I bought one from john ford who originally paid the money to import a tryster as a special order but what they shipped was a deluxe model, he kicked up such a fuss that Tyco the importers had the unit modified to a Tri-Star spec or as close as possible, john also was not shy of spending a dollar or two on it either with a oethinger motor and 4 wheel disc brake conversion
If anyone has further information about this I would like to find out. bob

Hart,
Didn't they only make the Tristar in 88/ 89?
I don't like having the oldest van - at least Hart has now taken that honour.
My compliance says 9/88, the Ateco plate says 10/88 and the rego just says 1988. Hence, mine is regarded as an 88 model as far as I am concerned. Even though it is an 89 model year.
Cheers,
Skot
