Not in 1989. Just a sticker.
Hi Phill,
Today I picked up a diff lock control element, which VW calls Element, Throttle Control T2 , I paid $ 90 (trade)
Anybody who wants one, I could get it and bring it down to the Nats with me. There are 11 available.
Also I tried to get a few of those slotted pins but must have had the wrong #s could you kindly give it to me again?
Much appreciated, and see you (very) soon, Hart

Did you hear about the driver waiting at a red light when a fire engine with
siren and lights came up behind him. He then checked that it was clear and went
through the red light to allow the fire engine to proceed as required by law.
Unfortunately it had a camera and he was booked. He took it to court and the
judge said that he did the right thing. The RTA said that he went through a red
light and took points from his licence, which he then lost. The court has no
authority over the RTA.

On ETKA Illustration 71-00 the part that I think that you are referring to is 27.
This is part number N 013 294 2 Spring sleeve 3 x 10
There is also another part number listed which is not illustrated N 013 325 1 Spring sleeve 3 x 14
Do those measurements sound correct?
You will see on your ETKA page what I am talking about.

Will check tomorrow, have no access to ETKA here but 0132942 came not up on his screen. Maybe best to look it up on his screen. Thanks for this , Phill, let you know of the outcome, the parts guy here is more than helpful. Hartmut

I haven’t been following this but if the part under discussion is the pin used to secure the diff lock vacuum actuator to the lock yoke, it is a standard commercial part and is available from bearing suppliers. The name used in Australia is “roll pin”. The 3mm diameter is a standard commercial size. I have bought them previously, can’t remember which bearing supplier it was.

Gary,
Thanks for the response. This confirms that Yahoo has made yet another running change without notice.
I will get into the management functions and try to get some more information.
Previously, replies to replies to replies could go on for pages. In asking members to cut off the irrelevant text, my concern was largely for readability, followed by the bloat of file size. It was a strange coincidence that this new format hit our screens at the same time!

The name used in Australia is "roll pin". The 3mm diameter is a standard commercial size. I have bought them previously, can't remember which bearing supplier it was.
